We teamed up with Waide Commercial Construction to deliver the earthworks, drainage, and siteworks for a brand-new cold storage facility for MegaFood in Wiri.

This project came with its fair share of challenges — the ground conditions were particularly rocky, requiring clever planning and solid execution to keep things on track. Our team managed excavation, subgrade prep, deep drainage, and full siteworks, ensuring the platform was ready for vertical build.

Working to a tight programme and high spec, we delivered a solid foundation for what’s now one of MegaFood’s key distribution facilities.

Scope included:

- Bulk earthworks and subgrade prep

- Stormwater and wastewater drainage

- Siteworks including pavement prep and hardstand areas

- Coordination with other trades on a busy industrial site

Project highlights:

- Managed difficult ground conditions (volcanic basalt and hard fill)

- Maintained programme with efficient sequencing and resourcing

- Delivered to commercial spec, ready for slab pours and structure
